Divisons:
External Funding Management (D)
External Funding Management helps oversee and secure funding for external research projects. You will coordinate funding applications, monitor project budgets, and act as a point of contact for project partners. In doing so, you will ensure that innovative research ideas receive the best possible support.
Purchasing and Materials (M)
From procurement processes to warehouse management – at Purchasing and Materials, you will ensure that employees have everything they need for their work, focusing on aspects such as efficiency, cost awareness, and sustainable solutions.
Finance and Controlling (F)
At Finance and Controlling, everything revolves around budget planning, fund management, and transparency. You will prepare analyses, report on developments, and ensure that projects are implemented on a solid financial footing. Your work will help to support us in making well-informed decisions.
Helmholtz Nano Facility (HNF)
The Helmholtz Nano Facility is a state-of-the-art cleanroom centre for micro- and nanostructures and a central technology platform for research and development. At the facility, internal and external projects can be supported – from feasibility studies to prototype production. HNF also offers exciting high-tech challenges, particularly in areas such as quantum computing, nanoelectronics, and biosensor technology.
IT Services (ITS)
IT Services ensures that all digital systems run reliably – from networks and software to user support. You will assist employees with technical issues, thereby helping to make the research centre’s digital working practices more efficient.
Organization and Planning (O)
In this area, you will coordinate processes, projects, and procedures throughout Forschungszentrum Jülich. You will create structure, optimize workflows, and help to ensure that research and administration work together seamlessly.
Human Resources (P)
At Human Resources, you will support staff right from the start – from recruitment and drawing up employment contracts, through to providing day-to-day support on matters such as business travel claims, salaries and training, right through to compiling HR statistics. In this way, you will contribute to the efficient running of HR operations.
Law (R)
The legal division provides advice on all legal matters related to research and administrative operations. You will provide support with contracts, compliance, and regulatory requirements, ensuring that Forschungszentrum Jülich can operate safely and in accordance with regulations.
JuLab Schools Laboratory
At the JuLab Schools Laboratory, school students get to conduct exciting experiments and explore the world of natural sciences. You will help to design workshops, supervise groups, and inspire the next generation of scientists.
Technical Infrastructure (TB)
Technical Infrastructure ensures that all research facilities remain fully functional. Here, you will manage and coordinate overarching responsibilities relating to planning and construction, the operation and maintenance of the technical and building infrastructure, and the protection and safety of Forschungszentrum Jülich and its employees.
Building and Engineering Services (T)
Building and Engineering Services ensures the smooth operation of laboratories, machines, and facilities. You will solve technical problems, take care of maintenance and repairs, and thus help to enable day-to-day research activities.
Planning and Building Services (B)
This is where new laboratories, buildings, and infrastructure projects are brought to life. At Planning and Building Services, you will support projects from planning through to implementation, helping to ensure that innovative research facilities are ready on time and fully functional.
Safety and Radiation Protection (S)
In this area, you will be responsible for occupational safety, security management, and radiation protection. You will develop concepts, monitor their implementation, and ensure that research is carried out safely and in compliance with regulations.
Corporate Communications (UK)
Corporate Communications coordinates the internal and external communications of Forschungszentrum Jülich. You will be responsible for public relations, media activities, and information strategies, helping to publicize research results and projects in an effective manner.
Corporate Development (UE)
Corporate Development plans strategic initiatives and manages change processes. By overseeing national and international collaborations, supporting early-career researchers, managing academic resources and developing strategy, you will play an active role in shaping the centre’s long-term direction.
Innovation (I)
At Innovation, you will help get new ideas off the ground and support them through to implementation. You will provide a link between research, technology, and practice, helping to ensure that innovative solutions are successfully transferred to the market or into research.
National and International Relations (NIB)
National and International Relations maintains partnerships and collaborations across the world. You will promote exchange with international research institutions and help position Forschungszentrum Jülich on the global scientific stage.
Support for Early-Career Scientists (W)
This divison implements programmes for students, doctoral researchers, and postdocs. You will promote talented young scientists, support scientific careers, and help ensure that the next generation is well prepared for future challenges.
Central Library (ZB)
The Central Library provides access to knowledge – from printed materials to digital resources. You will support research and teaching, ensure efficient access to information, and promote knowledge transfer within Forschungszentrum Jülich.
