Excellent Materials for the Future

At IMD-2 (Materials Synthesis and Processing), we investigate and develop materials, parts, and components for highly efficient future energy conversion and storage systems. High-performance ceramics play a key role in this matter.

We use our long standing expertise in the field of synthesis of new materials and processing methods to produce layers and bulk materials as well as numerous coating technologies from the gas phase, using state-of-the-art facilities. Our core competences enable us to develop reliable ceramic layered systems and composite materials for energy technologies.
