Successful Pioneering Work: Scientific Expert Report Presented on the European Flagship Human Brain Project

The European Commission has published an expert report on the Human Brain Project (HBP). The EU flagship initiative for research into the human brain was concluded in 2023 after ten years. The expert report was written by a panel of independent scientists. They came to the conclusion that the HBP has made important contributions and had a lasting influence on brain research. The committee also praised the fact that the project has created an open digital infrastructure, EBRAINS, that will further advance neuroscientific research.
