New framework agreement between Forschungszentrum Jülich and scientific publisher Frontiers
Jülich, 18 February 2020 – A deal has been reached in the negotiations between Forschungszentrum Jülich and the Swiss open access publisher Frontiers. Both partners signed a memorandum of understanding in Jülich yesterday for a new agreement that allows researchers to publish in Frontiers’ journals using a simplified process. Forschungszentrum Jülich led the negotiations for two years on behalf of the members of the Helmholtz Association, the largest science organization in Germany. The agreement will grant all German research institutions and universities the opportunity to participate. A corresponding contract is expected to be concluded this year.
