Student Assistant – Techno-economic data research and analysis
Your Job:
Energy system models are of central importance for achieving a sustainable and greenhouse gas-neutral energy system, as they identify opportunities for a cost-effective and efficient transformation and enable a holistic view to be taken. Reliable parameterization of the energy system models is an essential component of the analyses and enables the provision of well-founded recommendations for action. In this position, you will support the researchers in contributing to reliable results by creating and analyzing the needed database. Your tasks include:
- (Systematic) literature research of required techno-economic parameters
- Processing and analysis of data
- Parameterization of energy system models
Your Profile:
- You are studying engineering, industrial engineering, energy technology, physics or a related field
- An interest in the challenges of the energy transition and its economic consequences
- A high degree of independence and motivation as well as the ability to analyze and implement complex issues
- Ideally first experiences in data analysis and visualization
- Very good knowledge of German or English

The position is for a fixed term of 6 months, with possible long-term prospects. Salary and social benefits will conform to the provisions of the Collective Agreement for the Public Service (TVöD-Bund), pay group 3, depending on the applicant’s qualifications and the precise nature of the tasks assigned to them.
