HiDA Research Grants for research stays at Helmholtz centres announced

The Helmholtz Information and Data Science Academy (HiDA) enables young scientists to spend up to three months at a Helmholtz centre. The funding opportunities are aimed at doctoral researchers and postdocs at the Helmholtz Association (HGF) as well as young scientists at other (inter)national research organizations, universities, or research-based companies. As a prerequisite for the research stay, scientists must pursue a research activity with a strong connection to data science.

While HGF doctoral researchers and postdocs can apply via the HIDA Trainee Network, the Helmholtz Visiting Researcher Grant is the funding programme available to external applicants. The latter is explicitly aimed at researchers from both academia and industry.

Both grants aim to facilitate cross-organizational collaborations, promote knowledge transfer, and explore new or emerging research topics in the fields of information science and data science.

Applications are open from 15 January to 15 March 2022.
