BioTHINKer: First Innovation Award for Bioeconomy in the Rhineland Presented
Jülich, 24 November 2021 – Six university students from the Rhineland region have earned themselves the title of “BioTHINKers” for their innovative ideas in the field of bioeconomy. In recognition of their interdisciplinary research work, the students received the first innovation award of its kind, which is presented by the BioökonomieREVIER structural change initiative at Forschungszentrum Jülich. The award aims to encourage university students to quickly transfer their scientific findings into practical applications – for more sustainability and climate protection. Their research work was evaluated based on the economic relevance of their bioeconomic, sustainable ideas as well as their creativity and visual implementation in video format.
