Using Plastic Waste to Achieve a Sustainable Circular Economy

Jülich, 22 July 2021 – Plastic waste is a global environmental problem. However, new recycling technologies might enable a sustainable circular economy for plastics, turning them into carbon-rich, cost-effective, and globally available source materials. This has been demonstrated by an overview study conducted by scientists from Jülich and the USA. Their results have been published today in the journal Nature Catalysis.
