DENIM 2014

Engineering workshop in the field of neutron scattering instruments

18-19 September 2014, Ismaning, Germany

Call for papers

The main focus of this year’s DENIM workshop is placed on discussing the challenges, experiences and solutions encountered when dealing with the technical aspects of instruments over the past few years, thus reflecting the newest, most exciting developments in the design, construction and commissioning of neutron scattering instruments.

We especially welcome lectures and discussions on the following topics:

  • Challenges and solutions
  • Development and research

Lectures are strictly limited to 15 minutes!
For follow-up discussions, a further 5 minutes is scheduled.

We will attempt to sort abstracts into the following categories:

  • Choppers and chopper systems
  • Shielding
  • Beam collimation, slits
  • Motion systems and engines
  • Housings and vacuums
  • Detectors

Please send your abstracts to denim-workshop@fz-juelich.de

We hope that all participants will appreciate the fact that, due to the short duration of the workshop, we may be unable to accept all lecture proposals submitted to the workshop.

At the end of the workshop, we would like to make the lectures freely available to everyone who attended, and would ask you to bear this in mind as you prepare your lecture.
