                                                        Neutron polarization analysis

Neutron polarization analysis is a key technique in the technique of neutron scattering. JCNS develops and refines methods for generating high degrees of 3He polarization.

                                                        Detectors

Detectors form a key component for the instruments in neutron scattering. JCNS commissions and maintains the detectors used by JCNS in the main neutron facilities worldwide in order to ensure a high standard and reproducibility of the measurements. At the same time new concepts for neutron detection are developed.

                                                        Data analysis

JCNS develops and maintains dedicated data-analysis software for neutron scattering and coordinates the standardization of data formats. We support scientists in all questions related to data analysis.

                                                        Vitess

JCNS develops and applies methods of simulation for neutron scattering instrumentation.

                                                        The European Spallation Source (ESS)

JCNS develops and applies methods of simulation for neutron scattering instrumentation.

                                                        High Brilliance Neutron Source

JCNS is engaged in the design of novel high brilliance neutron sources.
