Hydrogen Electrolysis: International Energy Agency's Workshop Series Starts

Hydrogen offers excellent opportunities for large-scale energy storage. Producing hydrogen through electrolysis therefore plays an important role in the intensive expansion of renewable energies. In order to accelerate commercialization of the technology, experts from leading companies – including Siemens, Hydrogenics, ThyssenKrupp Electrolysis, and IRD Fuel Cells – will engage in discussions with scientists from various research institutions in a series of International Energy Agency workshops scheduled to take place over the next five years. The first meeting, hosted by Forschungszentrum Jülich, ends today.
