Juelich Systems Analysis (ICE-2)

On March 5, 2024, Elsevier announced the 2024 Highly Cited Paper Awards of the journal Advances in Applied Energy. These awards recognize highly cited papers by authors whose articles appeared in the journal in 2021, 2022 and 2023. One award-winning article 'A modeler´s guide to handle complexity in energy systems optimization' from 2021 was published by authors from IEK-3 together with RWTH Aachen University and Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen Nürnberg.

A second paper 'Methanol as a renewable energy carrier: An assessment of production and transportation costs for selected global locations' by colleagues from IEK-14 with co-authorship by Prof. Stolten was also awarded a prize.
