I am not devoted to any of the research groups in the Agrosphere institute but work closely together with the groups if needed in external or internal projects.

Research focus

My research focus ranges from soil physical studies, hydrogeophysics, carbon turnover to the fate or organic pollutants. Hereby, a classically integrate laboratory or field experiments with numerical modelling using mostly the AgroC model. Currently, I am responsible for the soil physical laboratories at IBG-3, where we determine the soil hydraulic characteristics of soils. Additionally, I am coordinator of the International Soil Modelling Consortium (ISMC).
