Warum und woran ich forsche

I work on the simulation and implementation of control strategies for quantum systems in close collaboration with experimental colleagues. My main interest lies on electron and nuclear spins in crystal, such as the nitrogen vacancy center in diamond. But I have also worked with ions in linear traps, superconducting qubits and Rydberg atoms.

In order to perform closed-loop optimization in the lab, we developed the open-source optimal control software tool QuOCS (https://github.com/Quantum-OCS/QuOCS).
