About me

I am a Helmholtz Investigator Group leader investigating the effects of climate change on volatile organic compound emissions and air quality using chambers and airborne observations by Zeppelin. I received my PhD from the Max Planck Institute for Chemistry in Mainz, focusing on atmospheric reactivity in the Amazon rainforest. Until fall 2023, I was a Feodor Lynen Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California, Berkeley using aircraft-based measurements to map emissions.
