Resume in Brief

Dr. Ewa Mlynczak

I obtained my PhD in September 2013 from the Institute of Catalysis and Surface Chemistry in Krakow (Poland) for work on the magnetic properties of the metal-oxide interfaces in view of their atomic and chemical structure. My PhD project was realized within the International PhD Studies Programme ‘Krakow Interdisciplinary PhD-Project in Nanoscience and Advanced Nanostructures’ which enabled me to conduct part of my research in S3 CNR-NANO National Research Center in Modena (Italy).

Currently, I am working in PGI-6, Forschungszentrum Jülich exploring the relations between electronic transport properties of the solid state materials and their electronic band structures. In November 2014 I was awarded a Helmholtz Postdoc grant which funds the project ‘Epitaxial Nanostructures for Spin-Orbitronics (EpiSpin)’.
