Interstellare Objekte wie Oumuamua könnten das Wachstum neuer Planeten beschleunigen

Drifting Interstellar Worlds Like ʻOumuamua Could be the Seeds of New Planets

Jülich/Belfast, 8 April 2019 – Interstellar objects the size of skyscrapers such as ʻOumuamua, discovered two years ago, could help new star systems to quickly form planets. This is the result of a recent study by the Jülich Supercomputing Centre together with Queen’s University Belfast. Myriads of such asteroids are likely drifting through our Milky Way. Once part of newly developing star systems, these huge objects between the stars could accelerate the formation of new planets. Forschungszentrum Jülich’s Nitrogen Oxide Plotter

Jülich, 29 January 2019 – First software updates, then vehicle bans: excessive nitrogen oxide values in cities have been making the headlines lately. Scientists from Forschungszentrum Jülich have now developed a nitrogen oxide plotter that allows you to quickly and easily find out the nitrogen oxide levels at all German measurement stations over time. The online tool is freely accessible at https://stickoxid-rechner.de. More: Forschungszentrum Jülich’s Nitrogen Oxide Plotter …
