The NIC research group Computational Biophysical Chemistry develops and applies structural bioinformatics, computational biology, and computational biophysics techniques in order to investigate the structure, dynamics, and function of biomolecular and supramolecular systems at the level of fundamental and applied research. The main research areas are:
Function-associated structural dynamics of biomolecular systems
Structural stability of biomolecules with respect to
Polymeric systems for uptake and release of cargo molecules
The group is affiliated with the Jülich Supercomputing Centre (JSC) and the Institute of Complex Systems – Structural Biochemistry (ICS-6).
