October 5, 2022 - Prof. Paolo Carloni visits Romanian Research Institutions at the invitation of the Academic Diaspora Platform by the Romanian Embassy in Berlin
Prof. Paolo Carloni visited Bucharest for meetings with Governmental and Academic Institutions. The visit was developed with the kind support of Prof. Univ. Dr. Sorin Costreie, State Adviser to the Prime Minister for Education and Research, and of Dr. Iulian Costache, Gesandter Botschaftsrat at the Romanian Embassy in Berlin. The visit was co-organized by associate staff member Prof. Ana-Nicoleta Bondar.
The discussions explored and identified common research interests in the broad areas of super-computing for life sciences –particularly in view of the exciting research directions enabled by energy-efficient exascale computing–, and the training of the young generation of researchers and students in computational life sciences.
