Science Online - Opportunities and challenges in quantitative magnetic resonance imaging

17th March 2022

On Thursday, 17th March 2022, Dr. Markus Zimmermann gave a presentation on research into quantitative magnetic resonance imaging.

Quantitative magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a new variant of MRI that makes it possible to diagnose diseases earlier and more accurately. For this purpose, it determines various parameters of the tissue, e.g. the water content or the magnetic properties. However, this promising technique is currently too time-consuming to be used in everyday clinical practice. INM-4 is developing new methods using modern high-performance computers to significantly shorten the measurement time of quantitative MRI to improve its clinical applicability.

Anyone with an internet connection and a PC or tablet (preferably also with a camera and microphone) was able to join the presentation.
