The technical infrastructure of the IKP is divided into the areas of electronics, construction and mechanics. Here, detectors for experiments, accelerator components and prototypes are planned and built.
Safety aspects of the operation of accelerators and laboratories are handled by the Radiation Protection group. The irradiation of test objects also belongs to this area.
The administration department takes care of personnel matters and the finances of the institute.
