Professor Boryann Liaw Appointed as Guest Professor at IET-1
Bringing Decades of Battery Expertise to Enhance Research and Innovation at IET-1
We are pleased to announce that Professor Boryann Liaw has joined the IET-1 as a Guest Professor for the upcoming year. Professor Liaw brings a wealth of expertise in rechargeable batteries, an area in which he has conducted pioneering research since 1994. During his tenure, Professor Liaw will support our battery team, leveraging his extensive experience in battery and electric vehicle evaluation, analysis, diagnostics, and prognostics through both laboratory and field studies. His deep knowledge encompasses battery modeling and simulation, performance and life prediction, fast charging technologies, and the understanding of aging, degradation, and failure of batteries. Prior to joining IET-1, Professor Liaw served as a Directorate Fellow at the Idaho National Laboratory from 2019 to 2023. He also has a rich history of consultancy for prominent companies. We are grateful and honored to have Professor Liaw with us and look forward to a fruitful collaboration over the next year.
