Resource- and application management

Around 170 scientists, technicians and service personnel from all over the world from a wide range of disciplines in the natural sciences, engineering, economics and the humanities work together at IBG-2. In cooperation with the specialist departments of the FZJ, the management team supports them.

For example, the scientists in the acquisition of public funding and the institute-oriented project, personnel and resource management. We help to identify the optimal constructions of collaborative partnerships, with topics such as forms of cooperation in the project, pre-competitive cooperation or joint exploitations - from LoI/MoU, to NDA, to cooperation agreement, order or licence agreement.

This leads to the successful acquisition of up to 70 third-party public funding projects annually at regional, national and international level. We have experience with a wide range of funding bodies and partners, such as BMBF or BMLE, [DLR, DFG, FNR, PTJ, HGF], (NRW, BRK, MIWF, EFRE) (EU, [ITN, ESA, INTERREG, IWYP) ...) In addition, we have up to 10 industry partnerships, framework agreements with science organisations in other countries (e.g. Brazil, Thailand, Middle East) and collaborations with foundations such as the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
