The annual conference for High Performance Computing, Networking, Storage, and Analysis (SC23) held in Denver, Colorado, from November 12 to 17, served as a prime platform for HPCQS to present its latest advancements. Partners of HPCQS utilized the event to update experts on project progress, engage in technical debates, and exhibit their product portfolio, fostering dialogue within the HPC community.

At SC23, French start-up PASQAL demonstrated its collaboration with HPCQS by showcasing quantum simulators integrated with supercomputers at the Jülich Supercomputing Centre in Germany and the Très Grand Centre de Calcul in France. The demonstrations unveiled various use cases from sectors such as finance, energy, and pharmaceuticals, including a promising quantum algorithm for accelerating drug production.

Moreover, HPCQS consortium members actively participated in specialist discussions, leading Birds of a Feather sessions addressing pertinent topics such as quantum computing integration challenges, IEEE Quantum-HPC initiatives, and advancements in High-Performance Computing infrastructure.

In addition to partners Forschungszentrum Jülich, CEA, and service provider PASQAL, other research institutions (BSC, CINECA, ICHEC) and industry partner EVIDEN also showcased their contributions at SC23, further enriching the conference's landscape.
