Computer Technology Services

The "Computer Technology Services" team provides support for the entire range of desktop IT, mobile IT, server and storage systems (excluding HPC and cluster systems), from procurement to disposal. In addition, VMware cluster are operated here (together with the "Communication Systems & Services" department) and virtual systems are provided. The central offering of a standardized desktop solution is organized and administered as a Linux workstation group, supplemented by a second virtual workstation group serving workstations in three training rooms. To support all JSC colleagues in monitoring their IT systems, a central monitoring solution is operated here, which is supplemented by new methods from the area of environmental factors (see OT "Technical Services") and with operating values of the infrastructure (see OT "Technical Infrastructure"). Furthermore, the training for IT specialist system integration takes place in this team.
