The division conducts research and development in the areas of modeling, simulation and data analysis in the life sciences, including machine learning methods, and supports life science communities in the application of these methods, especially on High Performance Computing (HPC) systems.

To this end, we work closely in joint projects with institutes of Forschungszentrum Jülich, university groups and other national and international partners.
