Women in Electron Microscopy (WeM) is a landmark initiative, aiming to foster a supportive and inclusive community for women in microscopy. By addressing unique challenges, providing networking opportunities, and highlighting role models, the event contributes to a more diverse and innovative field.

RIANA School

RIANA is a Horizon Europe funded project which supports curiosity-driven research in nanoscience with open research questions for long-term impact, and challenge-driven research in nanotechnology with targeted research questions for short- and mid-term impact.

PICO 2024

PICO2024 The Eighth Conference on Frontiers of Aberration Corrected Electron Microscopy was held in spring 2024 as an on-site event at Kasteel Vaalsbroek located at the bordering point of the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium from April 21st to April 25th, 2024. We again addressed recent advances in methods and applications for the study of solids in condensed matter research and the life sciences by the application of advanced electron microscopy techniques.

PICO 2022

The Seventh Conference on Frontiers of Aberration Corrected Electron Microscopy – PICO 2022 – will be held from 8 to 12 May 2022 in Kasteel Vaalsbroek. The meeting will address recent advances in methods and applications for the study of the structural and electronic properties of solids by the application of advanced transmission electron microscopy techniques in materials science.
