Seminar of Dr. Peng Yu, University of Bonn
“Lecture from Dr. Peng Yu from the Univerity of Bonn” on June 12th at 10:00
Dr. Peng Yu will talk about root and rhizosphere microbiome assemblage during maize domestication
Dr. Peng Yu from the Institut für Nutzpflanzenwissenschaften und Ressourcenschutz, University of Bonn will visit us and give the following talk:
Title: "Maize domestication contributes to root architecture and rhizosphere microbiome assemblage"
Abstract here: Root system and its beneficial interactions with microorganisms are pivotal for plant adaptation and fitness. I will present the adaptive trajectories and genetic mechanisms underlying formation and function of root system and plant-microbiome interactions during maize domestication. These knowledge will contribute to optimizing the adaptation of the microbiome to abiotic constraints, which bears implications for breeding resilient cultivars.
