NVIDIA recently launched the new Ampere architecture with the A100 Tensor Core GPU. From the software side, this is accompanied by the new major version release of CUDA 11. Since the upcoming JUWELS Booster will be powered by A100 GPUs, we will have a look at the new features, how they enhance existing HPC tasks and where they enable new workflows.
