The primary aim of the MRI group is the development and implementation of new methods, hardware and sequences in magnetic resonance imaging with a focus on the brain.
The main interest of the Magnetoencephalography (MEG) Methodology group is the development and implementation of novel soft- and hardware components in the field of MEG research. A major focus is to establish real time data acquisition and signal processing in order to acquire new insights into ongoing electrophysiological brain processes.
The special field of interest of this group is the preclinical and clinical testing of new radiopharmaceuticals for nuclear medicine diagnostics of brain tumours using Positron-Emission-Tomography (PET) and correlation with Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).
The working group "Clinical Multimodal Imaging" is primarily concerned with research into individual biomarkers in order to apply individually optimised therapy for patients with psychiatric disorders and also to evaluate treatment success.
