Cytoarchitectonic parcellation of multimodal posterior intraparietal and adjacent parieto-occipital sulcus in the human brain.

First microstructural parcellation and 3D maps of the functionally very heterogeneous higher-order cognitive posterior intraparietal cortex of the human brain, involved in visuomotor coordination, attention and working-memory. Similarity in topographic arrangement of areas as known from the non-human primate brain sheds new light on potential species homologies.
