Pilot systems of the Human Brain Project (2016-2018/2020)

Two pilot systems - JULIA from Cray and JURON from a consortium of IBM and NVIDIA - were installed at JSC as part of an innovative procurement of R&D services started within the Human Brain Project (HBP) for developing technologies needed to realise future supercomputers for brain research. JULIA was available since first week of August 2016 and went out of production in December 2018. JURON was available between October 2016 and November 2020.
