# Short Pulse Laser Interactions with Matter - An Introduction

This web page contains supplementary material for the book P. Gibbon: "Short Pulse Laser Interactions with Matter". This material is provided for teaching and research purposes only and replaces the old page http://www.fz-juelich.de/zam/cams/plasma/SPLIM/.

## Documentation for numerical models described in Chapter 6.

The following table gives a list of numerical models for which source code is available, and links to more detailed documentation including structured 'project' worksheets.

### Prerequisites

Most of the programs are written in Fortran 77 or C and can be compiled with GNU tools. Currently they can be downloaded individually free of charge.

### Installation

> tar xvfz bops2.0.tar.gz

After unpacking the tarball, change to the installation directory (e.g.: \$HOME/bops), and look at the instructions there for compiling and running the code.
