International Exchange – Lecturer from University of Manchester Visits Language Services

Dr. Maeve Olohan, Senior Lecturer in Translation Studies, paid a visit to the Central Library from 24 to 28 August 2015.

As part of her ongoing research activities, Dr. Olohan visited the Language Services at Forschungszentrum Jülich to learn more about the topics and the electronic tools used by the team in their everyday work. Dr. Olohan shadowed the team to experience the various aspects of their work.
She was impressed by the professional collaboration with clients and also by the positive interaction within the Language Services itself.

"The translators’ main focus is on quality and their professionalism effectively supports the communication of the scientific results from Jülich. My experience at the Language Services will be extremely valuable for my research project," says Dr. Olohan summing up her week at Jülich.
