Exsolution of Embedded Nanoparticles in Defect Engineered Perovskite Layers

11 March 2021

We show the formation of dopant-rich nanostructures in as-synthesized perovskite thin films and the subsequent phase transition as an alternative exsolution pathway. The exsolution of preformed nuclei has important implications for the strategies applied to control the exsolution behaviour. We discuss trapping effects caused by the introduction of defects in the perovskite host lattice.

This work was developed as part of a collaborative project at PGI-7 and IEK-1.
