The 12th edition of the International Reflectometry Workshop has taken place in Juelich from 18th-20th May. More than 40 participants, amongst them colleagues from China, Japan and the US, have discussed recent progress in understanding of turbulence propagation and structure covering the core and the plasma edge of today's fusion devices. It was completed by presentations on simulations and theory on interpretations of reflectometry measurements. Beside these topics, a part of the workshop program was devoted to new hardware developments, especially with view on ITER. The newest results from wave guide tests and the progress on the different Reflectometer systems for ITER have been presented.
The workshop was followed by a meeting of the virtual institute on advanced microwave diagnostic, which is supported by the Helmholtz Association where the IEK-4 is participating.
During this meeting new phased array antennae arrangements for the use of reflectometers in ASDEX Upgrade were discussed, as well as future plans for new hardware installations.
