Bio-Stabilized Multi-Phase Materials as Carriers for Bio-Pesticides

Current agricultural pest control is highly dependent on synthetic pesticides. These pose significant risks to the environment and human health. Microbial pesticides offer promising alternatives with greater specificity and reduced risk. However, their use is often hampered by ineffective formulations containing synthetic additives which pose an environment risk themselves. To contribute to solving these problems we BIOMAC-BP combines micro-biological and agricultural expertise with soft matter physics to develop bio-based formulations with superior stability and application features.

BIOMAC-BP is a Marie-Skłodowska-Curie-Doctoral-Network, funded be the EU through the Horizon Europe framework. The project started working in October 2024.
