Delegation from Africa Visits Forschungszentrum Jülich

Jülich, 25 March 2019 – A delegation from Africa visited Forschungszentrum Jülich last Saturday. The scientists and heads of research institutions from Ghana, Benin, Togo, Nigeria, Niger, Gambia, and Namibia learnt about Jülich agrosphere, photovoltaic, and plant sciences research, and also visited the Jülich Supercomputing Centre. A large proportion of the delegation works for WASCAL, the West African Science Service Center on Climate Change and Adapted Land Use, which is focused on climate change and sustainable land management in western Africa. It is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
