Technical Services

This team provides basic functions for the general operation of the data center as well as special functions for the operation of the high-performance data center and scientific communities. A data center management software and dispatch are operated jointly with the "Application Support" department and various databases are administered for data center operations. In close collaboration with the OTs "Computer Technology Services" and "Technical Infrastructure", special HPC pilot systems are integrated into the JSC infrastructure here. To collect, store and analyze all available environmental factors within the JSC infrastructure, methods are developed to link these data to the central monitoring (see OT "Computer Technology Services"). In addition, storage elements for long-term archiving of large amounts of data for radio astronomy are operated here.
