High-precision determination of the electric and magnetic radius of the proton

Based on dispersion theory and new data, the most precise

determination of the proton's electromagnetic radii was obtained.

The proton charge and magnetic radius are fundamental quantities of low-energy QCD. These can be extracted from electron-proton scattering data. This can be best done using dispersion theory. Analyzing the recent MAMI and JLab data within this framework, the  pertinent radii of the proton could be determined with a sub-percent accuracy.
