MLZ Conference 2023: Neutrons for Biomaterials
MLZ

The event is meant to bring together materials experts from universities and industry with experts in neutron methods with the aim of showcasing how neutrons, and other scattering techniques, can contribute to the further advances in this interdisciplinary research area.

We have outlined a very exciting programme with following topics:

  • Biomaterials for sustainability
  • Peptides, polymers and gels
  • Hybrid biomaterials
  • Food
  • Proteins
  • Lipids and membranes
  • Nanomedicine
  • Biomimetics and alive systems
  • AI for biomaterials

The deadline for the early-bird registration is April 26th, 2023

About the MLZ

The Heinz Maier-Leibnitz Zentrum (MLZ) is a leading centre for cutting-edge research with neutrons and positrons. By offering a unique suite of high-performance neutron scattering instruments, scientists are encouraged and enabled to pursue state-of-the-art research in diverse fields as physics, chemistry, biology, earth sciences, engineering or material science. The mission of the MLZ is to offer substantial support to scientists from all over the world in addressing the grand challanges facing society today.

The MLZ is a cooperation between the Technische Universität München (TUM) and two research centres of the Helmholtz Association, namely Forschungszentrum Jülich and Helmholtz-Zentrum Hereon (former HZG) to exploit the scientific use of the Forschungs-Neutronenquelle Heinz Maier-Leibnitz in Garching near Munich.
