Dr. Harald Wilkoszewski

Head of Communications at the WZB Berlin Social Science Center, Berlin

Harald is Head of Communications and Spokesperson at the WZB Berlin Social
Science Center. Prior to this post, he was Head of the Brussels Office of
Population Europe, a network of Europe's leading research centres in
Demography and Social Policy. Harald also worked as a Policy Analyst for the
OECD's Education Directorate in Paris, as a Research Scientist for the Max
Planck Institute for Demographic Research in Rostock, and as Head of Working
Group at the Berlin-based think tank Stiftung Neue Verantwortung. Harald is
particularly interested in research communication, social policy
consequences of demographic change, education governance, population
forecasts, and intergenerational relations. He holds a PhD in Social Policy
from the London School of Economics and Political Science and an MA in
Political Science, European Law, and Religious Science from the Ludwig
Maximilian Univsersity Munich. Harald has given keynotes at a range of
conferences and institutions, such as the European Forum Alpbach, the
Scientific Forum of the German Bundestag, and the European Parliamentary
Research Service as well as national ministries and other political bodies.
He has been regularly invited to moderate events and roundtables, e.g. for
the British Council.
