Advanced Talents Day
„Get ready for a Professorship! - Application and Self-Marketing in Times of Corona“ was the title of this year’s Advanced Talents Day, which took place from 16 to 17 June 2020. The virtual program addressed career planning on the way to a professorship, with a special focus on the current challenges due to the corona crisis.
More than 85 participants from RWTH Aachen University, Forschungszentrum Jülich and University of Cologne took the opportunity to join the different online events from this 5th edition of the Advanced Talents Day, organized this year by the University of Cologne.

Company Visits
On 5 September 2019, around 30 early-career scientists from Jülich embarked on a trip to Marl – the home of one of the largest chemical parks in Germany – to get an impression of what it's like to work as a researcher at a chemical company. Evonik’s strategic innovation unit, Creavis, was the focal point of the visit. The whole trip was organized by the Career Center & Postdoc Office.
