Are Neurotechnologies a Threat to Human Dignity?

Jülich/Berlin, 28 June – “Human Dignity in Our Hands – Challenges from New Technologies” is the subject that the German Ethics Council has chosen to address in this year's Annual Meeting marking its 10th anniversary. In her presentation, Prof. Katrin Amunts, Vice-Chair of the German Ethics Council and director at the Institute of Neuroscience and Medicine at Forschungszentrum Jülich, talks about a technology sector that affects human self-perception and dignity in a special way: challenges of human dignity from interventions in the brain.
