Jülich, 19 July 2017 – An international team of researchers headed by Jülich chemist Dr. Hilde Hardtdegen has for the first time succeeded in developing high-performance transistors on a metallic substrate. The metal substrate not only reduces the temperature of the semiconductor and conducts a major proportion of the heat away but also makes the component more durable.
