Palestinian German Science Bridge (PGSB) Accepts New Neuroscience Research Cluster

14th September

Members of INM-4 and the University Hospital Aachen have successfully presented an application for a research cluster entitled, ‘The Neuroscience Research Cluster for the Investigation of Psychiatric Disorders’. The proposal was accepted by the PGSB advisory committee and will result in support for student projects, PostDoc stipends for internal applicants, research visits, topical workshops, schools and networking events. The team will also be given the opportunity to share their work at future PGSB events.

It is anticipated that the research cluster will further support the establishment of the scientific infrastructure in Palestine and will benefit the community by conducting valuable research into psychiatric disorders using the state-of-the-art imaging facilities at Jülich in conjunction with new deep-learning techniques.

More information about the important contribution of activities at Forschungszentrum Jülich and the Palestinian-German Science Bridge to German-Palestinian relations is found in the Joint Statement of the 5th German-Palestinian Steering Committee, published on 19.05.2020:
